Welcome to GAM’s 123rd Annual Meeting at Hotel Effie. Below is a list of activities and locations to enjoy during your stay. Please let us know if you have any questions. We are looking forward to being with you for what promises to be another wonderful Annual Meeting!

Things to Do
- Beach Service is located on the South Side of Highway 98. It is accessible by the Sandestin Shuttle Bus or by car. Just exit the main entrance and drive straight across Hwy. 98.
- Baytown Wharf is walking distance from the Hotel Effie. It includes dining, shopping, bars, and other entertainment. It is a great venue for kids/grandkids with a zip line, ropes course and playground areas.
- Hiking and Bike Trails throughout Sandestin. There are several hidden playgrounds that are fun for the kids and grandkids to explore!
- Watersports are available from the Sandestin Marina
- Shopping:
- Silver Sands Outlet Mall is located a couple of miles West of the main entrance.
- Grand Boulevard
- A Publix Supermarket and Pharmacy is located in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin
- Golf – Multiple courses within Sandestin
- Fishing:
- Bay Fishing out of Sandestin Marina: Lil’ Lucky of Destin
- Gulf Fishing may require departure from another Marina (West of Sandestin)
- Day Trips:
- Rosemary Beach – 30 Minute Drive
- Alys Beach – 25 Minute Drive
- Town of Seaside – 20 Minute Drive
