Welcoming new President & CEO Jim Kelleher
Kelleher, a member of GAM's Board of Directors, assumes the role January 19, with the retirement of Lloyd Avram.
With the retirement of Lloyd Avram January 16, 2026, James “Jim” Kelleher now leads the Association as President & CEO.
Jim steps into the role with a long history at the association. He initially became a GAM member while working for Mitsubishi Power Systems in Pooler, Ga, where he was Vice President of Manufacturing. In 2021, he joined the GAM board of directors and became one of our most tireless industry advocates.
Lloyd will provide transition assistance to Jim through March 2026. “It has been a sincere honor and privilege to lead GAM during this important transformation period in its 125-year history,” said Lloyd. “With the incredible support of my team, our board, and manufacturing and associate members, GAM’s advocacy for Georgia’s manufacturing industry is stronger than ever.”
To become GAM’s President & CEO, Jim has resigned from Mitsubishi and relocated to metro Atlanta.
“I’m thrilled and deeply proud to become the next President and CEO of GAM," said Jim. “This organization stands above any I’ve worked with, and I’m eager to continue strengthening the outstanding foundation and transformation established under Lloyd’s leadership."
“GAM plays a vital role in advocating for manufacturers of all sizes, strengthening Georgia’s industrial base, and creating opportunity for thousands of workers. I’m excited to work with GAM’s members, partners, and team to promote policies that drive innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable growth."
We wish Lloyd well in his retirement and welcome Jim as he expands his role with GAM.
