GAM Goes to Washington

Members and staff advocated for Georgia manufacturers in our nation's capital.
Last week members and staff participated in the first-ever GAM DC Fly-in. Attendees met with policymakers at the federal level to discuss key issues including trade, environmental regulations, energy, and workforce. The goal of the visit was to elevate the voice of Georgia manufacturing, while building long term relationships with that will support our industry for years to come.
Members met with congressional representatives and staff members from ten offices to share GAM’s policy framework (which members can read here) and real-world perspectives on how federal decisions impact Georgia manufacturers. The team was also able to meet with the Administrator of the Small Business Administration, Kelly Loeffler, representatives from the Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency, and colleagues at the National Association for Manufacturers. Members were given a private tour of the Capitol organized by Representative Buddy Carter while also finding time for a bit of fun, with different attendees visiting the Lincoln Memorial, the Library of Congress, and the National Air and Space Museum.
GAM is proud to serve as the voice of manufacturing in Georgia, and GAM will be the voice of manufacturing for Georgia, wherever our voice is needed.
