GAM Policy Councils Meet in July

GAM’s Policy Councils remain active throughout the year, with several meetings and engagement opportunities for members.  Member participation in council meetings is essential for GAM to remain effective and responsive to its members’ needs.

The GAM Tax Council met at the offices of Eversheds Sutherland on July 8, 2025.  The agenda included an update on the recent passage by Congress of HR 1 (the “Big Beautiful Bill”) and its impact on manufacturers, GAM’s engagement on tax credit and exemption review by the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts, an update from Anne Whipple from the Georgia Department of Revenue, and a guest appearance by State Representative Shaw Blackmon, who chairs the House Ways & Means Committee and offered his perspective on tax-related issues at the Georgia General Assembly.
